A presentation event where teams pitch their final design solutions to a panel of judges.
The Skills You’ll Learn
The curriculum will cover several design disciplines. Additionally, the activities during the week will require students to practice concentration, critical thinking, and creativity.

Graphic Design: Fundamentals of visual communication, color theory, and typography.

UX (User Experience) Design: Researching user needs and creating intuitive digital navigation.

Architecture: Exploring spatial design, scale, and how humans interact with the built environment.

Day 1 | Visuals & Interfaces | Graphic & UX Design: Introduction to visual hierarchy and color theory. Students create a brand identity and a simple mobile wireframe. | User-Centric Discovery: Conducting interviews to understand how people use both apps and physical objects. |
Day 2 | Objects & Spaces | Product & Architecture: Hands-on sketching and 3D modeling of a physical product. Introduction to floor plans and spatial flow. | Prototyping Lab: Rapid prototyping using physical materials (cardboard/foam) for products and digital tools (Figma) for UX. |
Day 3 | Architecture: In partnership with NOMA Utah. | Usability & Peer Review: Testing physical and digital prototypes with "users" to gather feedback and refine designs. | The Design Showcase: Teams present a "Design Ecosystem" (e.g., a brand, the app for it, and the building it lives in) to judges. |
